The Mystic Rose is a study of the History of Marriage, and the strange customs and rituals that united couples through the ages. This is interesting reading, especially now when an ever growing number of successful unions have not entered into a formal marriage ceremony. The question today is: Can the U. S. Government dictate who an American Citizen can and cannot marry? The Government can have no right to deny citizens the right to marry whom ever they love. For over two hundred years the law of the land was that there shall be no interracial marriage, now, at last, that is no longer the case, and America is better, stronger and happier for it. Emmett F.
