Volume 20 of this History by Joseph McCabe was never published, and the Manuscript has never been found. This entire Work was created and published during WW II, and the information I have is that volume 20 of this Series was suppressed by the United States Government on the pretext that this information might hamper the war effort. I have this information on the authority of Mr. Gene DeGrusen, who was, until his death, the Curator of the E. Haldeman-Julius Archives Department of the University of
Kansas at Pittsburg Kansas. Mr. DeGrusen was more than an Archivist for the E.Haldeman-Julius Collection, he was a dedicated scholar of everything to do with E,
Haldeman-Julius the man; the Little Blue Books and the Big Blue Books that became a publishing phenomena in their time – 1918 to 1951; and the entire History of the E.
Haldeman-Julius Publishing Company - and its publishing factory at Gerard Kansas. I therefore place great respect on any statement that Mr. DeGresen made concerning the
History of the E. Haldeman-Julius publishing business. I am still hopeful that I will find proof that the government did, in fact, suppress volume 20 (and all other planned
volumes) of this Work. I feel there must be letters from the government that so ordered E. H-J not to publish this Work. The Government, through the head of the FBI, Mr. J. Edgar Hoover, ordered the E. Haldeman-Julius Company to cease publishing the Big Blue Book ‘The FBI, Foundation of A Police State’ and the exchange of letters between Mr. Hoover and Mr. Haldeman-Julius are preserved in the Archives at the Pittsburg University. Bank of Wisdom hopes to republish the FBI book and other government suppressed books.
