Memoris of The Countess Potocka.

Memoirs of the Countess Potocka. I read this book with delight, it was written by an intelligent woman of the elite class of her time, and it is a revealing snap shot of the time, the people, and the world she lived in. She tells us her opinion of the Great men who she knew, some, a few, she describes and truly great in wisdom and kindness, but most she found to be average, and some less than average. This is not a book of great importance to the education of the reader, but it was fun to wander among the great and see them as not as great as they try to seem.
